As we enter this Advent season, I am excited for us to begin our new Christmas series, “The Promise of Christmas.” We open God’s Word to Genesis 12:1–3, where we see that the story of Christmas began long before Bethlehem. It began with a promise—a promise of blessing, redemption, and a Savior for all nations.
